The Broader Goals of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, GMERS Medical College, Morbi are:

1)      Teaching and training of the undergraduate and postgraduate students

2)      Patient Care and service in coherence with the national guidelines and programmes, with the aim for ongoing improvement in the standard of care

3)      Research

OBJECTIVES AND UPCOMING AGGRANDIZATIONS:

The department anticipates NMC recognized post-graduate course in Obstetrics and Gynaecology department to commence, in the upcoming years. With the proposed enhanced -blood components and -diagnostic facilities, the department intends to serve its critical care in obstetrics as a final point of care, in sooner times. With the future multidisciplinary advancements in the hospital, the department is determined to expand its operative services in advanced gynecology and urogynecology. The department also aspires to contribute to the research in the advanced science and innovative care of the patients.

PRESENT DEPARTMENTAL SERVICES:

Teaching:

1)      Skill and knowledge-based teaching and learning to mould an Indian Medical Graduate compatible to the NMC and global standards

2)     Competency based teaching in liaison with the NMC curriculum: Click here

4)      Training and teaching focused on inculcating ethical, respectful, patient-centric and evidence-based service at every point of care

5)      Providing wider avenues to the students for research, governance, leadership and innovation
