Welcome To GMERS Medical College & Civil Hospital, Morbi
GMERS Medical College, Morbi is an academic institution under The Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat and located in the city of Morbi, Gujarat State in India. It is one of the state of art Medical College of Gujarat. The institute provides medical education & health care services. The college started functioning from August 2022 with the batch of 100 students. Attached to the college is the 360 bedded academic teaching hospital, Civil Hospital Morbi. It is affiliated to the Saurashtra university, Rajkot. The medical campus is free from ragging activities and fully observes Prevention of Ragging Regulation, 2009. We recognize Ragging as an offence which is completely prohibited and is discouraged.

About GMERS Medical College & Civil Hospital, Morbi

The first batch of 100 MBBS students was admitted in GMERS medical college, Morbi during August 2022. Total duration of MBBS course is 4 & ½ year and Compulsory rotational Internship of 1 year. 1st MBBS is of 13 months duration during which students learn subjects like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, and Community Medicine. 2nd MBBS is of 13 months duration with subjects like Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, and Community Medicine. 3rd MBBS is of 28 months duration with subjects like Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Pulmonary Medicine, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, Skin & VD, ENT, and Dentistry. Adequate number of qualified faculty is available to teach these challenging subjects. These scientific subjects are taught by theory lecture, interactive practical, live demonstration etc.

We are putting every sincere effort to bring out the best of our medical students, for which clinical integrated teaching is planned. Right now our medical college is temporarily running at Gibson middle school, near railway staion, Morbi as our new building is under construction. The college library has a huge collection of latest medical text books.
